There is something really odd about the U.S. leading a global effort to make sure a dwindling number of countries in the developing world to continue to recognize Taiwan as the legitimate government of all of China, when for more than four decades the U.S. itself has recognized the government of the PRC as the legitimate government of China, to the detriment of Taiwan.
