Not only corrupt and evil, also incompetent

This isn't just counterproductive,  it won't accomplish what I think they are trying to do. If the goal is to engineer fewer reported COVID cases by making hospitals report all positive cases to some shady White House controlled company who can mess with the data, those numbers are also being reported to State and Local health authorities who are not under the White House's control. Some State and Local governments might try to juke the stats themselves (*cough* Florida *cough* *cough*) but most won't. So reporters and non-government institutions like Johns Hopkins University will just avoid the discredited federal numbers and figure out the real numbers by adding the local numbers together.
