I understand completely why approval of the Supreme Court is at a historic low right now. But when I was reading the report of the poll, this chart showing the recent history of Supreme Court approval caught my attention:
What happened around 2005-2006 to make the public's approval of the Court suddenly dip, and then just as suddenly recover? Does anyone have any idea? None of these decisions are jumping out at me as particularly notorious with the public.
