This may be the only thing that Trump has done so far that I agree with.
Odds are the current Syrian government will evolve into another oppressive dictatorship, but there's a small chance that it won't. And that slim possibility is the best hope the Syrian people have had for a long time. There's no point in squelching their potential right now.
