as of today i am 2/3 of the way to being president of the united states of america. i was born 1/3 of the way there. at this rate i will be president on november 28, 2039. after all, to be president in this country you only need three things:
(1) to be born on u.s. soil
(2) to be 35 years old.
(3) to have a majority of votes from the electoral college.
it's actually a kind of surprising there are only three requirements. to get my college degree i had to take a minimum of 34 classes, some of them requiring me to write fairly long papers. turning 35, however, was easy. it just fell into my lap this morning.
here's the rub: i don't even want to be president. i guess i got 35 years to think of a way to weasel out of that one.
