wait

the "vote fraud" issue has been lapping around the blogisphere lately. i've mostly been addressing it elsewhere (see e.g. my comments to this post and this post), but some comments to the below posts reference the debate so i feel like i should at least mention it.

i don't feel like rehashing my full arguments here when you could just click on the above links to find them (hell, even atrios seems tired of the issue), but here is the short answer: investigate all irregularities, but don't call the election a fraud without rock-solid evidence that it was. i honestly don't understand why that position is all that controversial. it seems like common sense to me. feel free to argue, of course. i just see a lot more harm than good coming out of a half-baked stolen election charge.
