abu aardvark has a good post about yesterday's new york times magazine story about al arabiya.
i must confess, i know very little about al-arabiya other than what i've read on abu aardvark's site (and now, from the times article). but the evolution of the arab media since independent channels like al jazeera have appeared is really quite fascinating. maybe after another few years of study i can actually understand one of their broadcast and stop relying on all this second-hand stuff.
