it's been a year since the last offensive in fallujah. since then, there has been no independent reporting from the city.
a times of london reporter smuggled herself in and spend a few days touring the city. her report is here. it's not a pretty picture, but everyone should read it anyway if they want to see what a "successful military operation" looks like to the people who live there.
