recently there have been a lot of attacks in the so-called green zone (e.g.). can we still say that it's really green?
the green zone does contain the more tempting targets--it's where most of the foreigners live, where all the diplomats are, where most of the government buildings are. with so many targets in one area and with an insurgency that apparently has the ability to strike there, i wonder if the green zone is actually more dangerous on average than the rest of iraq.
