great moments in history

see how three presidents answered the question "what was the best moment of your presidency?"

to summarize:

carter: the camp david negotiations

clinton: the resolution of the kosovo crisis

bush: that time i caught a big fish on my ranch

y'know, as richard cranium says, bush is probably right. catching that fish probably was the best thing he's done since he entered the oval office. who says i never agree with the president?

(HT: the liberal avenger)

UPDATE (5/8/06): ha! this is classic! bush even lied about the fish he caught. this "best moment" really is turning into a perfect encapsulation of the bush presidency.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE (5/8/06): various people in the comments and at other sites are claiming that bush did not, in fact, say that he caught a 7.5 pound perch. instead he said he caught a 7.5 pound bass. it looks like the difference might be a translation error from the original german story. so maybe this wasn't the big fish story i was crowing about in my update. but that doesn't change the original stunning point that bush's best moment as president was when he caught a big fish while on vacation at his ranch.
