one more thing about borat. okay, two more things.
first, nathan has a post with some deleted scenes from the film. you can also watch the first four minutes of the non-deleted scenes.
second, i think i've solved the mystery of what language the various kazakhistani characters (borat, azamat and the people of borat's village) were speaking in the film. i guess there wasn't all that much of a mystery. i was just wondering. let's just call it a mystery to me.
anyway, imdb says the languages that appear in the film are armenian, hebrew, romanian and english. my mother (who saw an even more advanced screening than me) told me that borat himself was clearly speaking hebrew in some of the scenes (which is actually quite funny in the context of the film). the closing credits indicated that the village scenes were filmed in romania--so the villagers were probably the romanian speakers. but who was speaking armenian? this guy's last name, i think, holds the answer.
not that anyone but me gives a shit
okay, i promise to move on from borat now.
really. i will. just you watch
