to answer the question posed by this headline:
there's no real question that the u.s is "ready" to take military action against iran (it can't pull off a ground invasion right now, but it could pull off a military strike). what the u.s. is not ready for is the aftermath of any such attack. but the aftermath isn't completely a military issue either.
