it looks like the mccain campaign is going to abandon any pretense of talking about substantive issues in the last month of the campaign.
which i guess makes sense. at this point if he sticks to the issues--even the stretched truth version of the issues he's been relying on so far--he loses. his only hope is to go the obama = scary route using the time-honored tactic of guilt-by-association. this should be a fun month.
