while trying to figure out how to change the background and text color for the comment field, i accidentally found out how to fix the comment order issue. they should now appear with the oldest on top and newest on bottom, like nature intended it. i also found other ways to mess around with the disqus settings. now i can adjust pretty much everything i can think of, except the problem i was looking to solve.
so if anyone has any idea how to change the comment field background and text color in disqus let me know. i tried this and it didn't work.
