I realize this is all ancient history now, but this really does demonstrate that the Bush Administration lied its way into the Iraq War. I mean, it really wasn't the case that everyone thought Iraq had WMSs. The fact that Bush engineered to have the guy who could actually check Iraq's chemical weapons stockpile fired suggests pretty strongly that someone in the administration knew their own case wasn't all that solid.
