I mean, I kinda understand it in the sense that I know that one of the major political parties in this country has been taken over by its nutty fringe and is unaware of or doesn't care about the damage it might cause to this country in its doomed attempt to fight this particular battle against the President. I am still just surprised that the non-crazy portion of the Republican party has let it get this far.
