I'm surprised this kind of lawsuit doesn't happen more often. I thought, for example, that Sandra Fluke had a pretty solid basis for a defamation lawsuit against Rush Limbaugh in 2012. The bases for "defamation per se" are a little antiquated, but what Rush did fits quite nicely into the third one listed here.
