The capture of Ahmed Abu Khattala, has caused several commentators on the right to snark about how long it took to capture him. After all, they note, this was the guy who was living openly in Benghazi and sat down with a New York Times reporter for an interview back in October 2012.
I wonder how many of them read that interview. If they did, it would undermine several of their claims about the whole Benghazi!tm kerfuffle. After all, the alleged mastermind of the September 11, 2012 attack on the Benghazi consulate said that "he was not a member of al Qaeda" and "the attack had grown out of a peaceful protest against a video made in the United States that mocked the Prophet Muhammad and Islam."
