I always thought it was odd that Trump planned to explain his efforts to avoid conflicts of interest between his business dealings and his presidency in the days before the electoral college votes. The odds that he would lose the elector college vote because of faithless electors were always low (by "always" I mean since the evening of November 8), but those minuscule odds would only increase if he delivered a clearly inadequate and widely panned bullshit solution to his kleptocracy problem in the days leading up to that vote.
