It's pretty lame that the Biden Administration concluded that MBS ordered the killing of Khashoggi, but is letting the Saudi prince off while sanctioning his underlinings. The underlinings who carried it out are hardly innocent, but they were ordered to do it by a psychotic prince who murdered other people who crossed him. We need to recognize that their options were a bit limited, even if not completely exculpatory. MBS, however, has no such excuse.
So what if taking action against the crown prince might damage U.S.-Saudi relations? I'd say any damage that was caused is because the fucking crown prince of Saudi Arabia ordered the murder of a permanent resident of the U.S. The fact that he has to face consequences for that decision is not what caused the damage.
