On Friday, the House passed a COVID relief bill by a vote of 219-212. Every single Republican voted against the bill. 76% of the public (and 60% of Republicans) are in favor of the legislation.
So what is the punditocracy's take-away from all this: why didn't the Democrats make it a more bipartisan bill? Not, why is every House Republican voting against such an enormously popular bill, one that is pretty similar to the prior COVID bill that passed with 189 Republican votes last year when Republicans controlled the presidency?
Meanwhile I don't think a single voter gives a shit whether a bill is "bipartisan" or not.
