Jackson, Mississippi has no potable water. So President Biden granted Governor Reeves' request and declared the Jackson water crisis to be a disaster, which entitles it to federal relief.
And yet, ten months ago Mississippi was awarded $4.4 billion in federal dollars under the Infrastructure Bill, including $429 million specifically allocated to upgrade water systems in the state. I wonder what Governor Reeves has been doing with that money.
