While King Salman has shown no signs of taking away any power from crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, I don't see Saudi Arabia recovering from the Khashoggi debacle unless the government takes at least a symbolic slap against MBS. It now looks like Neom will be another casualty of the fallout.

On the other hand, even without the Khashoggi killing, if you saw this video would you think it would ever be built?

I guess investors are impressed with those things. But when I see the video it just looks like an unrealistic vanity project.
