I honestly don't understand why Biden said that.
I watched the video and everyone seemed to take it as a joke. What a bizarre candidate.
UPDATE: Apparently, Biden has used the phrase before. He seems to think the "lying dog faced pony soldier" line is from a John Wayne movie. But no one can find the line. He probably just misremembered it, and now it will go down as a Bidenism. Meanwhile, that still doesn't explain why he was so dismissive of a question that Biden himself acknowledges was "a good question" just before calling the questioner a lying dog faced pony soldier.
It is kinda catchy. Maybe I'll start using it myself, you lying dog faced pony soldier.
