I can't wait to see what is in that trade deal with Abkhazia!

While counting countries gets a little tricky because some countries are not recognized internationally, there are 193 members of the United Nations. I think Taiwan is a country, even if the UN (and the U.S., officially at least) don't recognize it.

I can come up with 6 more territories that have their own government, at least nominally, but which are not recognized by the U.S. or UN as a sovereign nation. Wanna see me try? How about: Palestine, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Northern Cyprus, Somaliland, and Puntland. Woo-hoo! I got us to 200.

So what do you think? Was Trump thinking of Puntland when he carefully counted up to 200, or was he just pulling a big number out of his ass?
