this is beyond stupid.
someone posts something potentially offensive on the daily kos and kos deletes it. and somehow that's proof positive that all liberals believe the contents of the deleted post.
when people have cried foul over other things posted on kos in the past, kos-defenders have noted that the daily kos is a massive community. anyone can post there, so the writings of random commentators or diarists shouldn't be taken as the views of everyone (much less liberals in general). but the critics have replied that if kos opposed what was being said, kos would have deleted the post.
so now kos deleted an offensive post. but to some of the wackos on the right, this is just evidence of a cover-up. it's so deranged, they actually think that the speed at which the post disappeared is incriminating. no doubt, if it had stayed up for longer, they would have used the length of time as evidence that kos tolerated it, and thus endorsed it, and thus the entire left endorsed it as well.
seriously, can these guys get any stupider? sadly, no.
UPDATE: atrios thinks this is part of a concerted effort to trash kos leading up to the yearly kos next month. maybe it is, maybe it isn't. but if this (and bill o'reilly's ignorance of what the word "primate" means) is the best they can do, i really can't wait to see what kind of craziness they come up with next.
