To mostly reiterate what I wrote four years ago, post-convention bumps or bounces or whatever you call them don't matter. The whole idea of a bump or bounce is that it goes up, and then goes back down. They are, by their very nature, temporary, and have no relevance at all to what will happen during the election in November. I don't get why the media makes such a big deal about those things. They act like it is a stupid contest to see which campaign can get a bigger bounce. But that seems even stupider because there is a real contest with actual things at stake. Maybe they should try to cover that instead.
