stuff

i'm back. sorry, i haven't posted. i've been pretty busy (and not just with work. for some reason i'm finding this article extremely hard to translate. it seems to feature many many words that conveniently fall through the various holes in my vocabulary. i think i got a little cocky with earlier articles).

some quick things i want to put up here:

-this article, fairly summarizes, why i think so little of the media research center and why i find arguments that rely on their "findings" to be so weak. (via cursor)

-wow, kyrgyzstan. i've been quietly following the post-election protests over at the argus for the past several weeks, but i haven't written anything about it yet. it's kind of on my "to do" list, but between a developing situation and my overbooked schedule in real life, i dunno when i will get to it. this is big news from a rather neglected corner of the world, and a story that can have far-reaching consequences in the region. besides, when new york times actually covers something in central asia, you know it must be a big deal.

-finally, thanks to michael's help, i figured out how to turn on the "preview" function in my comments. now you guys won't have any excuse for all the dumb-ass comments you leave there. consider it an easter gift to you, my faithful readers.
