Trump's drive to the airport gets the O.J. Bronco treatment

The NYT notes the overhyping of Trump's travel to New York City yesterday:

Donald J. Trump traveled to New York from Florida on Monday to face arraignment in the first indictment of a former American president, his trip monitored minutely from the moment he left his Palm Beach estate until he arrived at Trump Tower in Midtown.

Live trackers followed his red-white-and-blue plane all the way to its arrival at La Guardia Airport. Helicopters broadcast the motorcade that swept him to his Manhattan home, which was hemmed in by press, the police and protesters.

Who are these crazy people overhyping Trump's travel to New York?

Trump's indictment was news. What actually happens to his criminal case(s) will be news. The details of his travel to New York is not news. Who gives a shit how he gets there? How is that relevant to any of the issues raised by the prosecution? It's not like the world isn't filled with actual news these days.
