The fuckup in Iowa is not good. But if Nate Silver is right and it will diminish the "bounce" candidates get from the Iowa results, that would definitely be a good thing. It has never made any sense for Iowa to get an out sized role in the presidential nomination process. Sure, if Iowa has less "power" on the eventual outcome this year, it means that millions of well-meaning people have wasted a ton of time and money on the state. But that money was already gone. Stopping Iowans from getting more of a say that everyone else is unquestionably good.
