If Omicron "spreads quickly everywhere it lands" and it has already landed in the U.S., why are we still banning flights to and from southern Africa?
The ban never made sense. By the time it was announced, the variant had already been detected in a bunch of places outside of Africa. At best, it could be explained as something that politicians had to do to show they were "doing something" even if their something was pretty ineffective. But now everyone knows it isn't doing anything. So why continue to punish the countries for telling the world about Omicron?
